“Chacco-Blue. Directly out of a 1.55m mare.”
A direct son of Chacco-Blue and out of 1.55m performer Coromena, making him a maternal half-brother to our Emerald son Edwin. With a world-class sire and a dam proven at 1.55m level herself, Dexter has the pedigree and performance credentials to make him a particularly exciting young prospect.

Crystal-Blue vd Nachtegaal Z, known as Dexter, is a 2024 Zangersheide gelding with an exceptionally strong performance pedigree.
He is a direct son of Chacco-Blue, one of the most influential sires in modern showjumping, and is out of Coromena, a mare who competed successfully at 1.55m level.
Coromena also won an international Six Bar, clearing around two metres, which says a great deal about the scope and power in Dexter's maternal line.
Dexter is also the maternal half-brother to Edwin, our Emerald son, giving us two very different but exciting young horses from the same proven dam.
With Chacco-Blue on top and a genuinely accomplished 1.55m mare underneath him, Dexter has the pedigree and raw ability to make him a very exciting prospect for top-level sport.

Bloodlines
Crystal-Blue vd Nachtegaal Z carries Chacco-Blue. Read what that line passes on, and what it means when buying a horse that carries it.
From the same dam
Dexter is out of Coromena, as is Edwin.
The assessment
Chacco-Blue does the talking here. He is no longer with us and his offspring have proved exceptional, which makes a young horse by him harder to find each year rather than easier.
His dam Coromena jumped 1.55m. A Chacco-Blue out of a 1.55m mare is a combination that needs very little explaining to anyone who follows the sport.
He is a half brother to Edwin through the same dam, and the two are alike in character. Crystal-Blue is a friendly two year old with a genuinely nice way about him.
He would suit a professional to produce or a capable amateur.
No X-rays have been carried out to date and we are open to a buyer arranging whatever they need. Video of him loose jumping will follow.
