Edwin v/d Nachtegaal Z is a 2023 Zangersheide stallion with the pedigree, presence and temperament of a serious future sport horse, and the raw ingredients of a future licensed or graded stallion.
He is by Emerald van 't Ruytershof and directly out of Coromena, an exceptional 1.55m mare by Coronado I. Coromena also won an international Six Bar, demonstrating enormous scope and clearing around two metres.
Edwin is currently in education and is already cantering under saddle. What continues to impress us most is his intelligence and attitude to his work. Even as a stallion, he is exceptionally well mannered, sensible and straightforward to handle.

The assessment
By Emerald van 't Ruytershof, out of a Coronado I mare, with Carthago behind. These are names a buyer recognises without being deep in breeding, which matters for a young horse, because at three he is still being bought substantially on paper.
The damline is already producing rather than promising. Coromena's eldest is now four, and a Catoki son out of her has been graded. For a mare this early in her record, that is evidence, and evidence is worth more than a fashionable name.
Edwin is intelligent and quick. He learns things almost immediately, and retains them. He is respectful to handle and has a genuinely likeable personality. He is sensitive, but in the way you want a sport horse to be sensitive, not the way you don't.
