Heritage to Elite: Why We Sell From £4,000 to Six Figures
Most yards sell at one level. We sell at four, under four names, because a breeding programme that works produces horses at every stage of the journey. The category describes the price. It never describes the standard.
The question underneath every enquiry
Every buyer who contacts us is quietly asking the same thing: am I at the right yard for my budget? A rider with £18,000 worries we will not take them seriously. A buyer with £120,000 worries we are not operating at their level. Both are wrong, and rather than say so one enquiry at a time, we have put names on it.
The four categories
Everything on our for sale page now carries one of four marks:
- Heritage Embryos and young stock from £4,000. The start of the story: our proven damlines, available before the story has been written.
- Select £15,000 to £24,999. Quality young prospects with the pedigree and the early production to go on.
- Signature £25,000 to £99,999. Horses with the record forming: produced here, competing, the plan visibly working.
- Elite £100,000 and above. The finished argument.
What does not change between £4,000 and £100,000
The price describes where a horse is on its journey. It does not describe how the horse is kept, produced, or represented. A Heritage embryo gets the same veterinary standard, the same honesty about what we know and do not know, and the same direct line to Harriet as an Elite horse. There is no budget door and no premium door. There is one yard.
This is the practical consequence of something we have written about before: every horse here is on a plan. A horse bought to flip gets whatever presentation sells it fastest. A horse on a plan gets produced properly whether it is worth four thousand pounds or four hundred thousand, because the plan is the product.
Why selling at every level is the point
A yard that only sells finished horses is buying its stock from somewhere. A yard that only sells cheap young stock cannot show you where its horses end up. Selling at all four levels is what a working breeding programme actually looks like from the outside.
The embryos exist because the damlines are proven. The proven horses exist because the production works. Each level is the evidence for the others, and you can walk the whole chain on this website: the broodmares, their produce, the young horses competing, and the ones who have gone on.
Sybil is the through-line
If you want the four categories in a single horse: HHF I-Dillinger, known here as Sybil, was produced on this yard, jumped at the Longines Global Champions Tour in London, and was sold in 2025 not to the highest bidder but to the home that suited him. He has since qualified for the Members Cup Nationals with his young rider. That is what the top of the chain looks like when the bottom of the chain is done honestly.
